Corrections
A standing record of confirmed factual corrections to anything published on SalaryTax — calculators, guides, statistics, or tax-code explanations. Each entry names the page, the original error, what we changed it to, the date, and the primary source we used to confirm the correction.
How we handle corrections
- When a reader, HMRC, or our own review flags a figure that diverges from a primary source, we reproduce it, fix the underlying ruleset or text, ship the fix, and log it here.
- We do not silently edit calculator outputs. Numeric changes are tied to a dated commit and a publishable source URL (usually gov.uk or gov.scot).
- Typographical fixes (broken links, mis-formatted dates, layout bugs) are not logged here — only factual changes that could have led a reader to a different conclusion.
- Entries are immutable. We do not retroactively rewrite or remove past corrections.
Log
No corrections logged yet. SalaryTax launched in April 2026; if you find a figure that diverges from HMRC published worked examples, email contact@salarytax.uk with the page URL, the inputs you used, the figure we returned, and the figure you believe is correct (with the source). We confirm, fix, and log every credible report.
